Henry Ume-Taule has over 25 years’ experience in both the commercial and not for profit industries, having undertaken senior lead roles in information technology, led projects and programs in business improvement using the PRINCE2 framework and change management, business development, marketing, and research as well as leadership roles in not-for-profit organization including advocacy, law reform and early childhood education. Henry has worked in Australia with assignments to Solomon Islands, Fiji and Sri Lanka.
Henry has also been a small business owner himself, developing new business opportunities, processes, systems, procedures and strengthening operations. Henry has supported the establishment and running of ABV’s business development services hub on Lihir Island, in partnership with Newcrest Lihir Gold Limited. Henry has excellent in-country networks, and has experience mentoring and coaching others, and is a member of Transparency International PNG chapter and the Coalition for Change PNG Inc. Henry’s experience, skills and knowledge in the not for profit and small business sectors uniquely contribute to the development of small to medium businesses participating in ABV’s training courses.
