Natascha Wernick

Program Facilitator Community Development
Natascha is a dedicated community developer with over twenty years of experience in the Tweed Shire, NSW. Her passion for building community resilience was most notable in 2020, when she served as the Community Resilient Team (CRT) leader and gained invaluable first-hand experience.

In February 2022, Natascha led her community through a challenging period when they were hit by three successive flood events that caused devastation and left them isolated for two weeks. In her capacity as a CRT leader, she played a decisive role in coordinating with care and combat organisations to provide medicines, supplies and assistance in the search for missing persons.

Natascha is an accomplished secondary teacher with experience across all levels of the education system, both in Australia and the Solomon Islands. She has been an active coach and mentor for small businesses via her work in the Murwillumbah and District Chamber of Commerce and her coaching business.

Natascha strongly believes that resilient communities pave the way for more capable and peaceful individuals, and this is crucial as we chart a course for the future.
