ABV Skilled Business Professionals, Liane Arno and Robert Hill have been volunteering their time to mentor for the YES (Your Enterprise Scheme) program in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. YES is our comprehensive program covering the essential aspects of strategic planning, finance, marketing, risk analysis and everything needed to start or grow a successful business.
The mentors introduced "Visual Thinking", as a way of looking at the world through the lens of business opportunities. As entrepreneurs, recognising and seizing new opportunities can redefine our business offerings and shift our strategy. The participants took on this advice quickly, "Imagine their delight when one of the catering businesses learned from this lesson and brought packed lunches to sell to fellow participants," says Liane. A great result from the first week!
