Hayley is a passionate community and international development worker with over 10 years experience working for NGOs across the Asia Pacific region.  For 9 years Hayley worked in Cambodia for anti-human trafficking organisations as a teams and volunteer manager and later mentored and worked with senior leadership to mitigate the effects of compassion fatigue and secondary trauma.  More recently Hayley has been working remotely coordinating a mental health program for refugee and asylum seeker communities in Indonesia.  Hayley holds a Masters in International and Community Development. Hayley joined the ABV team in March 2023 as People Mobilisation Lead.

Thanda Bennett has many years of experience working within the humanitarian and international community development sectors. As Field Human Resources Administrator with Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) she supported its Australian operations to recruit, train and mobilise aid workers to take up missions overseas. She later worked with the Professional and Community Engagement, or PACE International program (housed at Macquarie University) where, as Program Officer, she managed final-year students to undertake projects with community-based organisations in Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and the Philippines. Thanda joined Australian Business Volunteers (ABV) in November 2021 as Program Officer.
