From our beginnings as part of the Australian Aid program in 1981, Australian Business Volunteers (ABV) has evolved into an innovative not-for-profit leveraging the skills and experience of several hundred of our Skilled Business Professionals who donate their time alongside our small team of salaried staff to create lasting change in our region. We create change through partnering with socially conscious corporate partners who are committed to positive stories of change for their employees and their communities.
The underpinning principle for all our work is that locally developed businesses and not-for profits provides an effective model for sustained community development, alleviating poverty by contributing to economic growth, job creation, stronger not-for-profits and increasing people’s livelihoods and incomes.
