Family Money Management Program Supports Local Entrepreneurship

Christopher Masep Glaglas was happy to receive his Family Money Management Program (FMMP) completion certificate from ABV Trainer Hitolo Galamo. FMMP helps families strengthen their skills in managing household income, financial planning, future-saving and budgeting.

This program was transformational for Christopher, who operates a ferry service from Mali to the mainland, transporting students to school in the morning and afternoon. Despite the daily dinghy commute from Mali Island, Christopher attended the three training days.

Operating on tight margins, Christopher's attendance at the FMMP training was at risk due to a lack of funds for boat fuel. However, the program equipped him with the necessary skills to manage his budget effectively. Now, he's able to plan for fuel and other costs in advance, ensuring he doesn't lose days of income and can continue to provide his essential services.

Apekton Business Hub, Trainer Hitolo Galamo shared the positive feedback she has received about the program.

"The participants told me that they were glad to have completed the three days of training because it helped them to understand how better to manage their family finances, plan, budget and save for future needs."
